All right here’s the rest of the booty I got on Friday, after I regained consciousness from my Blue Moon STR episode…

This is a skein of lightweight STR in the Yosemite colorway. These are definitely going to be turned into socks!
Next I went to HABU!

This is one of two skeins I bought of their undyed wool yarn, I think it’s called Kinari. This is definitely going to get dyed and turned into something pretty!

These are 2 balls of yarn from Habu, each has about 200yards of laceweight cashmere. The top is a grey, lavender, purple colorway, the bottom is more the green/tan/brown colorway I already have and am using to turn into a scarf. It’s really soft and the colors are amazing! :o)
Next was Tess’ Designer Yarn–they came all the way from Maine! Their yarn is always so soft and smells really nice too! The yarn below is the Superwash Merino yarn (100% merino wool) and I got these colors to match a skein of the same yarn in a variegated colorway (pink/purple/blues). This is all going towards my first blanket– The Mason-Dixon Knitting Modern Log Cabin Blanket! I’m still working on the first block still. :o)

This yarn below is also from Tess’ Designer Yarns–it’s their Supersock (& Baby) yarn (80% wool 20%nylon)– it’s machine washable and dryable! NICE!

Let’s see…at this point, Jen and I went to unload our bags at her car and get something to eat for lunch. Then she went to her knitting class and I continued on my downward spiral into the abyss that would become my Stash.
I moved on to Shelridge Farm. They are Canadian! Ontario, to be exact. Here’s what I got from them:

These top two are skeins of their sock yarn. And this one below is their worsted weight yarn. All of it is 100% merino wool, superwash. It’s all verrrrrry soft!!!

I’m such a merino junky.
Carolina Homespun was a great place for so many things! Like this stuff:

LEFT: Green/yellow plied (”parrot” colorway) and RIGHT: coral orange/yellow plied
Louet Gems 100% merino wool yarn.
These are all DK/sport weight yarns AND they were on sale! SWEET!

These 3 skeins are Malabrigo–100% merino wool, in MOLLY (top pink), POLLEN (middle yellow), and WATER GREEN (bottom green) colorways. These are also going to be turned into a blanket of some sort!

Finally, for the last stop of the day, I went to Interlacements. This is a skein of their Oregon Worsted II (100% merino). I got it just in case I needed more yarn for my Modern Log Cabin Blanket (you never know…).
So that was Friday. Day one. I was so tired and sore from all the yarney goodness that I saw at Stitches, and all the blogosphere people I met, and of course, from all the bags I was carrying! But there is more…Saturday. Day two….to be continued…

Ooooh! You are shameless! I am–as always–jealous of you! Gosh I love that STR, and that_________(basically fill in the blank).
Are you still avail on St. Paddy’s Day? Perhaps Ethiopian? Knitting, of course, too!
Sweet haul!
Hello Elaine! Thank you for visiting Woolly Wumpus! And wow, thank you for sharing your newfound yarns from Stitches West! I was unable to attend myself, and it’s really gratifying to see what treasures other people got. I love the Tess’, and the Habu. Can’t wait to see what you make of them all! See you at Síle’s sometime soon, I”m sure! xox ej
*LAUGH* OMG! Did you leave any yarn for anyone else?
Oh, so pretty! And now I’m wanting more……must.not.buy.more.yarn……
Hello again! Thank you so much for the invite! It’s actually my 4th anniversary tonight, so I’ll be busy, but do you meet there every Tuesday? I’d love to join some time! See you at knit-one-one! ; )
