2010: Action-Packed New Year

Hellooo! :o)

Although I was absent here in January, I was thinking about you often! Here is a Top Ten List of the Busyness that consumed me during the first month of 2010:

Finding out my husband got a job in Colorado (WHOO-HOO!)
Looking for our first home in Colorado (YAY!)
Arranging for last-minute trips and Fanny-sitting.
Recovering from said trips.
Arranging all the paperwork for first-time home-buying.
Starting to pack the non-essentials.
Getting rid of the non-desirables.
Adjusting to the idea of leaving California.
Adjusting to the idea of (bawling my eyes out) saying bye to my local friends.
Being excited about my husband and I starting a new phase in our lives.

And finally, as of yesterday, we are under contract for our first home in Colorado! :o) We are beyond EXCITED! We are Over the Moon! We are now further entrenched in paperwork and packing and making further arrangements for the move. But we could not be happier… and I could not feel more torn about leaving California. Therefore, during February I will try to post about all the things I love about my current home and the activities I am able to squeeze in before we leave.

In addition to all this activity, I am also exploring a new career path that is not exactly definable. I am discovering a new clarity and happiness in this fact, allowing my creativity to emerge from the dusty depths of my mind. Networking with fellow crafters and creative minds has been the driving force behind unleashing my inner artist. What kind of artist? I don’t know. Definitely not the painting/drawing type. But perhaps the type that works at a local yarn shop, teaches some knitting classes, and plays the cello? We’ll see what happens. Stay Tuned…
