We are currently underway with our move and I wanted to do one last post (while my WONDERFUL HUSBAND is sweating and moving and rearranging the boxes in our moving trailer. He is such a sweetie…)
1. Check out Reknit. I read about this on the NPR website. Really cool!
2. Fanny was so worried that we were leaving her behind with all the packing going on. She was extremely upset that I hooked up her leash to a piece of furniture and made her stay inside. Solution? Open all the windows in my husband’s car in the shady garage and let her lounge in the backseat. Worked like a charm! She finally bedded down and took her afternoon nap. Phew! Talk about a Canine Diva!
3. For our last home-cooked meal, we made Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Bacon, Ground Turkey, and Rice. Yum! Brussel Sprouts with Bacon will be a permanent part of the cooking routine now (and really, anything with bacon can’t be bad, right?)
4. I am not sure how emotional I will get at all forthcoming farewell dinners. I hope I don’t turn into a blubbering mess but I’m not making any promises…
5. Born in CA, went to college in CA, now leaving CA for CO. I wish we didn’t have to leave CA. I’ll miss it. A Lot. But I’m excited about this new phase in my life and CO feels like the right place for that.
